Course Description

The course offers a comprehensive overview and analysis of Francophone diversity worldwide, highlighting the cultural, historical, and social distinctiveness of Francophone communities across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Students will examine Francophone regions such as Québec, other parts of North America, Wallonia, Romandy, and smaller enclaves like Luxembourg, Monaco, and Val d’Aoste. It also examines the Francophone influence in North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania), Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa. Evaluation is based on active participation, projects, and a final exam, preparing students for professional intercultural environments.
