Course Description
The discipline provides the acquisition of essential knowledge in the field of cultural studies in the English-speaking world, through the study of written texts (academic and press articles, critical studies, etc.) and visual texts (images, video clips, commercials, videos), in order to develop the ability to understand, think critically, compare, analyze and synthesize them. In this discipline, students learn fundamental concepts in the field of cultural studies, essential for intercultural negotiation and linguistic mediation in professional contexts of international economics. At the same time, students practice study, evaluation and self-evaluation skills, apply principles and values of academic ethics and fairness in order to realize a rigorous, efficient and responsible work strategy. In carrying out work tasks, students apply individual and teamwork skills. Students improve their accuracy and fluency in oral and written communication in English in academic and professional contexts.
