The course promotes the acquisition of knowledge about discourse analysis and the development of corpus research skills and academic writing, in preparation for conducting larger scientific research projects. Topics covered include: key concepts in discourse analysis – principles, levels, analysis models, types of discourse, notions of qualitative and quantitative research to develop discourse analysis skills, development of corpus-based research competencies, and practice in academic writing skills.
