Course Description

The subject is an introduction to political language and discourse, dealing with different types of discourse, such as political, diplomatic, electoral and governmental, with examples from France and Romania. Students will study their techniques and characteristics through comparative and contrastive analysis. The main objective is to develop skills in discourse analysis and the practical application of theoretical concepts in a francophone context. The course includes debates, case studies and role plays. Assessment consists of projects and a written exam, and online resources and recommended bibliography are useful for deepening knowledge.
