Monica Toma obtained her bachelor’s degree in Romanian, French and English Language and Literature at the “1 Decembrie 1918” University of Alba Iulia. She received a master’s degree in the History of Images, History of Ideas and a doctoral degree in Comparative Literature at the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. She also got a master’s degree in the Culture and Language of European Organisations at the University of Bucharest. She has published various articles on literature and film in a number of nationally and internationally recognized journals. At present, she is an Assistant Professor at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.
