This course aims to equip students with the knowledge necessary for professional communication in French.
Objectives:
o Using lexicographic and informational resources correctly and effectively to disambiguate source texts and adapt their rewriting in the target language in compliance with linguistic/editorial norms specific to the field of specialization.
o Developing the ability to translate general or semi-specialized texts from languages B and C into A and vice versa, using specific interlinguistic and intercultural transfer strategies.
o Rendering summaries of written documents with general or semi-specialized orientation from language C into A and vice versa within a time constraint.
o Translating general or semi-specialized texts from languages B and C into A and vice versa, applying specific interlinguistic and intercultural transfer strategies.
o Providing oral translation (sentence by sentence, without distortions or inconsistencies affecting the message) between languages B/C and A, in the context of interpersonal communication.
